First Sergeant Brutus was born on 12 April 1979, in Long Island New York and was raised in Miramar, Florida.  First Sergeant Brutus, enlisted in the United States Marine Corps in August 1998, attending Recruit Training at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina.  Upon graduation First Sergeant Brutus, was assigned to Marine Combat Training (MCT) School Camp Geiger, North Carolina in the month of December of 1998.  Following MCT, First Sergeant Brutus reported to Fort Leonardwood, Missouri in January 1999 for Military Occupational Specialty training as a Basic Engineer Equipment Operator.   

In March of 1999, First Sergeant Brutus received orders to Marine Wing Support Squadron (MWSS) 171, Iwakuni Japan as a Basic Engineer Equipment operator, at which he was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal.   In April of 2000, First Sergeant Brutus was then transferred to 1st Force Service Support Group (FSSG), Camp Pendleton, California, where he served as a Basic Operator and Company Training Clerk.  In 2001 First Sergeant was promoted to the rank of Corporal meritoriously.  In April of 2002, First Sergeant received orders to Marine Corps Recruiting School, MCRD San Diego, California.

In June of 2002, First Sergeant Brutus, reported to Recruiting Station Columbia, South Carolina, Recruiting Sub Station Florence, South Carolina.  At which he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and served as a canvassing recruiter till June of 2005.   In July of 2005 First Sergeant Brutus, received orders back to MWSS 171, Iwakuni Japan.  During his second tour at MWSS 171, First Sergeant Brutus severed as the Engineer Equipment Chief and Platoon Sergeant.  In May of 2006, First Sergeant Brutus was promoted to the rank of Staff Sergeant and received orders to MWSS 273, Beaufort, South Carolina.

During his tour in MWSS 273, First Sergeant Brutus served as the Engineer Platoon Operation Chief, Maintenance Chief, Quick Reaction Force Platoon Sergeant, and as Engineer Company Gunnery Sergeant.  In addition, First Sergeant Brutus deployed to Nogales, Arizona in support of Border Patrol mitigation, Morocco Africa in support of joint operation training, and twice to Iraq in support for Operation Iraqi Freedom. 

In 2010, First Sergeant received orders to Combat Logistic Regiment 2, Combat Logistic Battalion 8, Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.  During this time First Sergeant Brutus, was assigned as the S-3 Training Chief, and Engineer Platoon SNCOIC. In January of 2011, First Sergeant Brutus deployed to Afghanistan where he served as the Engineer Platoon SNCOIC.  Upon returning from Afghanistan, in August of 2011 First Sergeant Brutus was promoted to the rank of Gunnery Sergeant. In 2012, First Sergeant Brutus was then transferred to Combat Logistic Regiment 2 where he deployed for the second time to Afghanistan and served as the Unit Movement Control Center Chief and was mainly responsible of the De-militarizing of Forward Operating Bases.

In 2013, First Sergeant Brutus received orders to 10th Marines Regiment, Headquarters Battery, Engineer Platoon. During this time First Sergeant Brutus served as the Engineer Platoon SNCOIC, 10th Marines Regiment Leadership School SNCOIC, and Headquarters Battery First Sergeant. In 2016, First Sergeant Brutus was promoted to his current rank and received orders to become the First Sergeant for Combat Logistics Readiness 25 (CLR-25), 2nd Supply Battalion MAGTF Material Distribution Center (MMDC) Company.  In 2016, First Sergeant Brutus, received orders to become the First Sergeant for 1st  Marine Logistic Group,  Combat Logistics  Regiment 15,  Combat Logistics Company 13,  to which he is currently serving.

First Sergeant Brutus personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal lieu of second award and the Navy Marine Corps Commendation medal.
