Staff Sgt. Eduardo Nagy, a team chief with Detachment 1, 4th Civil Affairs Group supporting 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division, shakes the hand of an Iraqi homeowner after finalizing a lease payment Sept. 24. A personal security detachment escorted two disbursing Marines from Camp Taqaddum to a Jazirah schoolhouse where they paid the civilians approximately $60,000 for the Iraqi Army?s use of their homes. A team of Marines acted as advisors while the Iraqi Army supervised all scheduled lease payments without incident.
