Cpl. Nicholas A. Smith, 24, from Plainfield, Ill., communications operator with 1st Platoon, Transportation Support Company, Combat Logistics Company 19, 1st Marine Logistics Group, communicates with the rest of the vehicles during a resupply convoy here, Dec. 2. Smith and the rest of the Marines of 1st Platoon are switching over with 3rd Platoon who has been at Sahl Sinjar for a month. 1st Platoon is continuing to provide logistical support to the units who are securing the border between Iraq and Syria.
