CAMP PENDLETON, CA - U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Charles Matte, a machinist with 1st Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 15, 1st Marine Logistics Group, places a vaneaxial impeller fan onto a computer numerically controlled lathe machine at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Oct. 17, 2017. The purpose of a Marine Corps machinist is to perform various duties in support of unit maintenance to include fabrication, repair or modification of equipment.
