Hello and welcome to 1st Maintenance Battalion’s Deployment Readiness webpage. I am Amber Stainbrook, the civilian Deployment
Readiness Coordinator (DRC). To all those who have served or are currently serving; I would like to thank you for your service! It is my
pleasure and honor to serve the Marines, Sailors, and families of 1st Maintenance Battalion.
I grew up in an Air Force family and married into a Marine Corps and Navy family. I am a Marine wife, and the mother of children growing up
in a Marine Corps family. I am well acquainted with deployment life as our family has experienced five back-to-back deployments and expect
more in our future. Through these experiences, I understand the needs of military families, how home life can impact mission readiness, and
what resources are available to help military families succeed in this lifestyle. Through a consistent and steady flow of communication, I am
able to provide assistance for the challenges military families face today.
My role as the Deployment Readiness Coordinator is to assist military families by providing resources and referrals, maintaining an
efficient and accurate flow of information, coordinating activities that promote networking and raising morale, and ensuring families have the
tools they need to thrive during a deployment. I firmly believe a strong Deployment Readiness Program not only benefits the Marines and their
families, it impacts the whole Battalion’s morale and mission readiness.
I whole heartedly encourage families to actively participate within the 1st Maintenance family. I highly encourage volunteerism; our whole
Battalion benefits when our families share their talents and experiences. There are many ways you can be a part of this mission; become a
Deployment Readiness Volunteer, attend unit functions and classes, and most importantly, provide feedback on your experience. I want to know
what aspects were enjoyed, and which aspects we can improve. Two-way communication is vital in making this program successful. If you are
interested in becoming more involved with 1st Maintenance Battalion, no matter how big or small of a commitment, please let me know!
Thank you for taking a few moments to visit our site. Thank you for supporting the Marines, Sailors, and families of 1St Maintenance
Battalion.
Respectfully,
Amber Stainbrook
