Lieutenant Colonel Jeffrey J. Medeiros

Lieutenant Colonel Medeiros was born in Huntington Beach California and raised in Littleton, Colorado. In 2008 he graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder.

In October 2009, Lieutenant Colonel Medeiros reported to Quantico, Virginia, for duty at Officer Candidate School. Upon receiving his commission, he began attended The Basic School in December 2009. Following completion of The Basic School in July 2010, he continued his training at The Logistics Officer’s Course (LOC) at Camp Johnson, North Carolina, graduating as part of LOC Class 5-10.

In October 2010, he was assigned to Headquarters and Service Company, Second Battalion, Seventh Marines. During this assignment, Lieutenant Colonel Medeiros held various billets, including Maintenance Management Officer, Embarkation Officer, and Battalion Assistant Logistics Officer. He deployed twice with Second Battalion Seventh Marines, supporting the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU) from May 2011 to December 2011 and participating in Operation Enduring Freedom from June 2012 to February 2013.

In April 2013, Lieutenant Colonel Medeiros transitioned to Recruiting Station Denver, where he served as both the Operations Officer and Executive Officer. His successful tenure in recruiting duty culminated in June 2016, and he subsequently reported to Expeditionary Warfare School in Quantico, Virginia, in July 2016.

Upon graduating from Expeditionary Warfare School, Lieutenant Colonel Medeiros joined 1st Transportation Support Battalion (1st TSB), Combat Logistics Regiment 1 (CLR-1) in June 2017. Immediately upon arrival, he assumed the role of Landing Support Company Commander, serving in this capacity until June 2019 when he transitioned to the Naval Postgraduate School.

While at the Naval Postgraduate School, he obtained a master’s degree in information technology management and completed Naval War College Command and Staff before reporting to Headquarters Marine Corps Program and Resources.

Upon joining P&R, Lieutenant Colonel Medeiros was assigned as the Financial Management IT portfolio manager and Business Mission Area IT portfolio lead. After a P&R reorganization, Lieutenant Colonel Medeiros was selected to serve as the Staff Secretary for DC P&R, a billet he held from 2022 through 2024.

In July 2024, Maj Medeiros assumed the role as Headquarters and Service Battalion Operations Officer. During this time Lieutenant Colonel Medeiros served as TF ATLAS Detachment OIC in support of the 2025 LA Wildfires HAZMAT with JTF-CS.

In the Summer of 2025 Lieutenant Colonel Medeiros was transferred within 1st Marine Logistics Group to serve as the 1st Combat Readiness Regiment Operations Officer.

Lieutenant Colonel Medeiros’ personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3rd Award) and the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from the University of Colorado, and a master’s degree in information technology management from the Naval Post Graduate School.
