READY. TRAINED. CAPABLE.

The Deployment Readiness Coordinator is an integral part of the Command's official Deployment Readiness Program and is the primary communication link between the Commanding Officer and the families of our Marines and Sailors. The Deployment Readiness Coordinator will provide information, referral, and support to the Marine & Sailor's spouses and their families. The active involvement of a spouse or extended family member is still critical to the success of the program. The program ensures that families of military members are equipped with accurate information and resources necessary to make the best decisions for their family. Volunteers are required to complete a standardized training course and adhere to strict rules of confidentiality. The Deployment Readiness supports all Marines and Sailors in the unit whether they are single or married.

"Taking care of our own" begins with Deployment Readiness.

  • 35th Commandant's Planning Guidance

  • I MEF Commanding General's Family Readiness Vision

  • Families of deployed Marines face challenges at home

The point of contact for family members (spouses, children or parents) of Marines and Sailors is the the Deployment Readiness Coordinator. If the family member does not know who their Marine's Deployment Readiness Coordinator (DRC) is, they should ask their Marine who the unit Deployment Readiness Coordinator is. If the Marine/Sailor does not know or is currently deployed, please call the Camp Pendleton Directory Assistance at (760) 725-4111 and ask for your Marine/Sailors unit DRC. You can ask them to transfer you to the unit locater for your Marine/Sailor if you are unsure which unit they belong to. If you know your Marine's unit, you can also locate their unit on the website to speak to a Unit representative.

This site is constantly being updated with new information. If you have suggestions on information that you need, please contact the 1st MLG Deployment Readiness Coordinator.

The Marine Corps remains "Always Faithful" and will continue to "take care of our own!"
