Biography

Commanding Officer, Headquarters and Service Battalion
Lieutenant Colonel Gloria C. Luedtke

LtCol Gloria Luedtke was commissioned in the U.S. Marine Corps in 2007 after graduating from Washington University in St. Louis with a B.A. in History in 2004.  After graduating from The Basic School and the Logistics Officer Course in 2008, she was assigned to Combat Logistics Battalion-7, 1st Marine Logistics Group, where she served as a Security Company Platoon Commander and Company Executive Officer.  During this tour deployed to Operation Iraqi Freedom 9.1.  Upon return, she served as the S-4 Officer in Charge at 1st Supply Battalion. 

In July 2011, LtCol Luedtke reported for duty to Marine Corps Recruit Depot San Diego as the G-4 Operations Officer and promoted to Captain in October 2011.

After graduating from the Marine Corps Expeditionary Warfare School in 2015, LtCol Luedtke reported to 2d Air Naval Ground Liaison Company as Headquarters Platoon Commander and S-4 Officer in Charge.

In April 2017, LtCol Luedtke reported to Bahrain to serve at Task Force 51/5th Marine Expeditionary Brigade as Sustainment Officer, Directorate of Logistics and Headquarters Company Commander.  She was promoted to Major in September 2017.

LtCol Luedtke transferred to Headquarters Marine Corps in 2019 where she served as the aide-de-camp for the 38th Commandant of the Marine Corps. Following her assignment in July 2020, she attended the Marine Corps Command and Staff College (CSC), earning a Master of Military Studies. 

In July 2021, she reported to 1st Transportation Battalion, where she served as the Operations Officer and Executive Officer.

In October 2023, she was assigned to Wounded Warrior Battalion-West as Operations Officer and promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in February of 2024.

In May 2024, LtCol Luedtke returned to 1st Marine Logistics Group to serve as the 1st Combat Readiness Regiment Operations Officer.  In August 2025 she was assigned to the Group G-3 as the Operations Officer.  In December 2025, she assumed command of the Headquarters and Service Battalion, where she is currently serving.

LtCol Luedtke’s academic and professional education includes B.S., History (2004); Master of Business Administration (2012), Master of Art in International Relations (2014); Expeditionary Warfare School (2015); Command and Staff College (2021); Master of Military Studies (2021).  Her personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (one gold star), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (one gold star) and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (two gold stars).
