Bill Hendricks, United States Marine Corps Reserve, started the Toys for Tots program in 1947, and it has since gone on to collect more than 500 million toys for underprivileged children during the holidays. The Marines are with 7th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force.
