U.S. Marine Lance Cpl. Josh Allen affixes a connecting elbow to a four-inch discharge hose during an annual training exercise aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., June 13, 2016 to increase readiness and fulfill yearly requirements as a reserve unit. Allen is a water purification specialist with Engineer Support Company, 6th Engineer Support Battalion, 4th Marine Logistics Group. 7th ESB supported their reserve counterparts with the gear necessary to pump water nearly 3 miles from the ocean at Red Beach to a training area where they practiced setting up and maintaining massive stores of water.
