U.S. Marine Sgt. Maj. Bradley Kasal shakes hands with Master Sgt. Keith Krebs during the I Marine Expeditionary Force Large Scale Exercise 16 at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 19, 2016. Kasal is the I MEF sergeant major and Krebs is an electronics maintenance chief with G-6, 1st Marine Logistics Group. LSE 16 tests I MEF’s ability to plan, deploy, and command and control a force of more than 50,000 Marines and Sailors against a near-peer enemy force. The exercise tests 1st MLG’s ability to provide sufficient, agile, flexible and responsive tactical level logistics to I MEF forces in support of operations.
