CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - U.S. Marine instructors with Combat Skills Training School (CSTS), 1st Marine Logistics Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, conducted a 60mm mortar shoot and call for fire observer training July 27, 2017 at Camp Pendleton. CSTS Marines conducted sustainment training firing 124 60mm mortar rounds and honed their skills as observers. The purpose of the range was to prepare the instructors for teaching a future course to train designated Marines of 1st MLG's Combat Logistics Battalions to perform duties as observers during convoy operations.
