Charles Matte, a machinist with 1st Maintenance Battalion, Combat Logistics Regiment 15, 1st Marine Logistics Group, holds a vaneaxial impeller fan at Camp Pendleton, Calif., Oct. 17, 2017. Matte’s job in the manufacturing process of the fan is to remove excess material from the main body. The fans main purpose is to force air and debris out of the exhaust system of multiple vehicles.
