U.S. Marine Corps Cpl. Marines with MCED-Palau worked with local officials to prepare future project sites and preserve historical artifacts. During this rotational deployment of MCED-Palau, Navy Seabees and Marine Corps engineers undertake infrastructure projects which benefit local populations in the Indo-Pacific and enhance the United States’ ability to render support and aid in response to disasters or other crises.
