Construction projects often take a series of tasks to get to the finished project. As an example of this step-by-step process, Marines with Engineer Company mix cement March 29, 2006 at Al Asad Air Base, Iraq. The company, a part of Combat Logistics Battalion 7, 1st Marine Logistics Group, is building a maintenance garage for the 8th Motor Transportation Regiment, an Iraqi Security Forces unit here. The structure is expected to take more than a month to complete and provide the ISF a place to maintain and repair their vehicles while protecting the soldiers from the effects of the elements such as wind, sun and dust. Aside from their primary mission to provide logistical support to Marine and Iraqi forces in places like Ramadi, Hadithah, and Al Qaim, the battalion is also training Iraqi soldiers to carry out their own logistics operations.
