Here at Al Asad Air Base, Marines are required to have a ?battle buddy? at all times, for safety and accountability. Sgt. James D. Turner, 28, and Sgt. Ricardo Zuniga, 22, truck drivers with Engineer Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 7, 1st Marine Logistics Group, walked to work together March 30, 2006, crossing over a shallow creek bed here. Aside from their primary mission to provide logistical support to Marine and Iraqi forces in places like Ramadi, Hadithah, and Al Qaim, the battalion is also training Iraqi soldiers to carry out their own logistics operations.
