Runners elbow for room while trying not to trip on each others feet during the start of a 5-kilometer run at Camp Taqaddum on March 19, 2006. In an effort to break up the day-to-day routine of a deployment, Camp Taqaddum?s base operations section teamed up with the Morale, Welfare and Recreation department to organize the run, which drew more than 200 runners. The base, home to nearly 8,000 service members and civilians, is a main logistics hub for U.S. troops in the Al Anbar province and is located near the restive cities of Fallujah and Ramadi.
