Chief Warrant Officer 3 Gary O. Quinney (left) and his son, Lance Cpl. Gary O. Quinney Jr., sit outside the father's office to catch up with each other before chow at Al Asad, Iraq, Sept. 13. Elder Quinney is the officer-in-charge of the Mortuary Affairs Collection Point Al Asad, Personnel Retrieval and Processing Detachment, Combat Logistics Battalion 7, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward). The younger Quinney is a tactical network specialist with communications platoon, Marine Wing Support Squadron 273, Marine Wing Support Group 37 (Reinforced), 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing (Forward). Both, father and son, haven't seen each other for more than two years until their paths crossed in Iraq. The father is a native of Mountain Home, Ark., and the son is a Beaufort, S.C., native.
