As he speaks over a radio with the other vehicles in his convoy, Sgt. Willie T. Carr utilizes the tool of communication to ensure every Marine is given the best chance to return safely. During the convoy by 3rd Platoon, Combat Logistics Company 115, Carr, a 25-year-old native of Dublin, Ga., served as the convoy commander, while he and his Marines brought supplies to a small Marine outpost on the outskirts of Fallujah, May 17, 2006.
