An Iraqi child clings to his mother?s clothes while Marines speak to his father through an interpreter. Troops regularly carry candy to set Iraqi children at ease during routine vehicle stops. ?They treat (Iraqi?s) with respect, try to help them out in any way possible. Offer water and food, ask them how their villages are doing, how their people are doing,? said Staff Sgt. Keith S. Littreal, a 29-year-old native of Greensboro, N.C. and the platoon sergeant of 1st Platoon, Military Police Company, Combat Logistic Regiment 15, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward). In the combat zone, MP Company provides security for vehicle/personnel recovery teams, supply trucks, and also scans supply routes for IEDs and enemy activity.
