Marines receive their Certificates of Reenlistment during a mass ceremony conducted by Brig. Gen. Robert R. Ruark, commanding general, 1st Marine Logistics Group. The Marines took advantage of the reenlistment opportunities during a Retention Assist Visit, June 5 to 8. Fifteen monitors from Headquarters Marine Corps came to Camp Taqaddum to speak with Marines about reenlistment options. More than $6 million in reenlistment bonuses was given out by the end of the team's visit, said Gunnery Sgt. Donald G. Bird, head monitor and trip coordinator.
