CAMP TAQADDUM, Iraq (October 13, 2008) – Seaman Apprentice Alexander C. Bilous, a 19-year-old from Odessa, Ukraine and a field medical technician with Camp Taqaddum Surgical, 1st Maintenance Battalion (-) (Reinforced) accepts a piece of birthday cake from Cmdr. Bill Haggerson, 65, from Kalamazoo, Mich., and chief of professional services at TQ Surgical during the 233rd Navy birthday celebration here, Oct. 13. Bilous felt it was an honor to take part in the ceremony as he saw himself as “the future of the Navy.” The cake cutting ceremony featured the youngest and oldest Marine present to demonstrate the passing of knowledge and experience.
