Lance Cpl. Zachary Lohr, a military policeman with Alpha Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 6, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), is awarded the Purple Heart medal from his commanding officer, Lt. Col. Mike Lepson, during a Memorial Day service and awards ceremony aboard Camp Leatherneck, Afghanistan, May 31. Lohr, along with four others, received the medal in recognition of wounds sustained during actions in direct service support of combat operations in Helmand province.
