1st Lt. Brett E. Scull (center), platoon commander for 1st Platoon, Charlie Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 2, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward), talks to Afghan civilians near the village of Demazong as the first step in building a healthy relationship between International Security Assistance Forces and the village. Marines from CLB-2, 1st MLG (FWD) constructed a patrol base overlooking the village, Oct. 16-25, to give Georgian and Afghan National Army soldiers a safe area to conduct security operations.
