A heavy equipment operator from 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) uses a Tractor, Rubber tired, Articulated steering, Multi-Purpose vehicle to remove several trees from the outer wall of the village stability platform, June 21. During the engineering project, the Marine engineers destroyed several excess inner compound walls, laid out a helicopter landing zone, fortified walls with Hesco barriers, built several guard towers and cut down countless trees around the compound to increase visibility and improve fields of fire.
