A heavy equipment operator from 8th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) guides a Medium Crawler Tractor during the construction of a culvert at a village stability platform manned by special operations forces, June 21. The area proved to be kinetic as enemy activity was high. Several improvised explosive devices were found or struck along the route to the VSP, and insurgents also engaged Charlie Company with small arms fire.
