Commanding Officer, Combat Logistics Battalion 5
Lieutenant Colonel R. A. Bolz

Rebecca Bolz was born in Port Washington, WI. She was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in August 2005 after graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee with a B.S. in Kinesiology.

Following completion of The Basic School and Logistics Officer Course, Second Lieutenant Bolz reported to Combat Logistics Battalion 1, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, where she was served as Motor Transport Platoon Commander, Combat Logistics Company 115 and deployed in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. Immediately upon returning from deployment, First Lieutenant Bolz transferred to Combat Logistics Battalion 5, Combat Logistics Regiment 1, where she served as Company Commander, H&S Company; Company Commander, Security Company; and Executive Officer, Security Company. While serving as the Executive Officer, Security Company she deployed again in support of Operation IRAQI FREEDOM. First Lieutenant Bolz reported to Security Battalion, Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in June 2009 where she served as the Battalion Logistics Officer and Company Commander, H&S Company.

In 2011, Captain Bolz attended Expeditionary Warfare School at Quantico, Virginia. Following completion of school, she was assigned to 11th Marine Regiment where she served as the Assistant Logistics Officer from 2012 to 2015. During this time, she deployed as the Logistics Support Officer, COMKAF in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. In 2015, Captain Bolz was assigned to Headquarters Battalion, 1st Marine Division where she served as Company Commander, Truck Company.

In 2016, Major Bolz reported to Naval Postgraduate School, earning a M.S. in Information Technology Management. Following completion of school, she was assigned to Deputy Commandant for Information where she served in various roles within the Program and Resources, Plans and Strategy, and Information War Room Divisions. In 2020, Major Bolz reported to 31st MEU Command Element where she served as the Logistics Officer conducting three 31st MEU patrols. Lieutenant Colonel Bolz was reassigned to III MEF in 2021 and served as the G-4 Operations Officer.

In 2022, Lieutenant Colonel Bolz reported to 1st Marine Logistics to serve as the Command Inspector General. In May 2023, Lieutenant Colonel Bolz reported to her present duty at Combat Logistics Battalion 5.
