Corporal Cavin S. Sanders, a chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear defense specialist with Headquarters Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, breaks the seal on his M50 gas mask as part of a course designed to instruct Marines on how to defend against CBRN threats aboard Camp Pendleton, Calif., Jan. 6, 2014 Marines received training on conducting reconnaissance and identifying potential CBRN threats, operating equipment designed to protect personnel from chemical threats, and decontamination to ensure they take necessary steps to ensure Marines do not become casualties. Sanders is a native of Miami.
