Building Spiritual Resiliency: One of the great challenges of meeting the mission is being ready at all times. Desert FIREX 2015 happened to span the Holy Week for Christians of all denominations. One of the various ways the Navy Chaplain Corps helps to ensure Marines and Sailors are growing in their faith is through field worships services. Attending Easter Protestant Field Service during DESERTFIREX. Service was provided by Chaplain Slaughter. Chaplain Slaughter provided nightly devotionals throughout the field operation. However, Easter Sunday is a special day in the eyes of many Marines and Sailors. For many this was a time to celebrate their faith. For some it was a time to rekindle their relationship with the divine. In this picture, some of the 15 attendees to the Protestant Service are gathering.
