CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. - U.S. Marines, Sailors, friends and family observe the pass in review portion of the 1st Marine Logistics Group change of command ceremony at Camp Pendleton, July 28, 2017. The 1st MLG provides direct support to I Marine Expeditionary Force’s Ground Combat Element and sustained tactical logistics to each element of the MEF in the functional areas of logistics beyond the organic capabilities of supported units. The units establish beach support areas, landing zone support areas, combat support service areas, and force combat service support areas commensurate with the level of operations to ensure responsive, timely support for sustainment of the MEF.
