U.S. Marines from 7th Engineer Support Battalion assigned to Marine Corps Engineer Detachment - Palau, and Peleliu locals pose for a group photo after a town clean up at Peleliu, Republic of Palau, March 18, 2023. Peleliu locals and Marines with MCED-Palau arranged a town clean up to help keep the environment safe and clean but to also help reduce pollution and litter. During this rotational deployment, Marine Corps Engineers and Navy Seabees continue to improve interoperability with the Indo-Pacific by undertaking infrastructure projects which benefit local populations and enhance the United States’ ability to render support and aid in response to disasters or other crises.
