FORWARD OPERATING BASE MUDAYSIS, Iraq (Oct. 14, 2008) ? Seaman Devin L. Turner, a corpsman with Surgical Company, 1st Maintenance Battalion (-) (Reinforced), 1st Marine Logistics Group, applies a tourniquet to his fellow corpsmen during a Joint Medical Training Course with the Iraqi Army here, Oct. 14. The two Corpsmen taught basic medical classes to 25 Iraqi Soldiers to ensure they have the capability to save people who have life-threatening injuries. ?We?re here to increase the Iraqi Soldiers? medical knowledge,? said Turner, 25, from Fresno, Calif. ?This is bringing the country of Iraq one step closer to being able to operate on their own.?
