Marines from Charlie Company, Combat Logistics Battalion 2, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) move a Hesco barrier while building Patrol Base Demazong in Helmand province, Afghanistan, Oct. 22. The Marines from CLB-2, 1st MLG (FWD) constructed the patrol base overlooking the village of Demazong, and hope the presence of International Security Assistance Forces will attempt to halt the flow of illegal items coming in from Iran and Pakistan. While Marines built the Patrol Base, Georgian soldiers conducted foot patrols in the area, and Afghan National Army soldiers set up vehicle checkpoints along the road.
