Nine, the platoon sergeant of Air Delivery Platoon, Landing Support Company, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, watches for landmarks telling him how close he is to the landing zone, flying above Camp Pendleton, Calif., Aug. 23. Air Delivery Platoon conducted a personnel jump over the hills of the base. The primary purpose of the jump was to get jump masters qualified for operations.
