Cpl. Nickolas Gervasoni, a military policeman and a security team leader, Engineer Support Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) debriefs his security team following a mission in Helmand province Feb. 22. The security, which is made up of primarily junior Marines and a few noncommissioned officers, provides safety for convoys traveling from point A to point B and for engineering operations while at fixed locations throughout Helmand province. In addition, the team is responsible for driving the security trucks, communications between vehicles and manning the crew-served weapons.
