Lt. Nicole Lunceford, an emergency medicine physician with the Shock Trauma Platoon, Surgical Company, 1st Maintenance Battalion (-) Reinforced, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) examines a chest X-Ray from a patient at the STP on Forward Operating Base Edinburgh, Afghanistan, April 10. For approximately three hours, the medical personnel completed blood transfusions, numerous X-Rays, three surgeries, fragment extractions and other medical procedures after an incident in nearby Musa Qa’lah in Helmand Province sent 11 critically wounded patients to the STP/FRSS.
