The tactical water purification system at Forward Operating Base Whitehouse, Afghanistan, can purify approximately 1,000 gallons of water per hour. The water point team from Support Company, 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 1st Marine Logistics Group (Forward) is responsible for the purification of water to use for laundry, shower and chow hall facilities at the FOB.
