U.S. Marine Corps Master Sgt. Ashton Welborn, right, a ground ordnance weapons chief with Combat Logistics Battalion 13, Combat Logistics Regiment 17, 1st Marine Logistics Group, tests a virtual reality invention developed by Duncan McSporran, founder of Kognitiv Spark and retired British infantry major, at Fort Irwin, California, March 12, 2024. This technology can be used to digitally assess parts and assemblies in a virtual interface prior to production, improving militaries technology. The U.S. Marine Corps and British Army shared expertise in advanced manufactured parts and worked together to refine the NATO repository for joint use.
