Captain Razmi was commissioned as an Ensign with the HPSP program in 1997. She entered the Navy Dental Corps as a commissioned Lieutenant in 1998 after graduation from Dental school and Officer Indoctrination School. She was first stationed at Naval Dental Center Great Lakes, IL where she completed a residency program in Advanced Education in General Dentistry.
CAPT Razmi transferred to 1st Dental Battalion, Naval Dental Center Camp Pendleton in Aug 2001. She was assigned to the 13 Area Dental Clinic as an Assistant Dental Officer. In September 2002, she was transferred to the Margarita Dental clinic where she assumed the position of Assistant Clinic Director.
In August 2004, she was assigned to 23rd Dental Company, 29 Palms. She was then appointed as the Department Head for Edson Range Dental Clinic at Camp Pendleton and served until 2008. She received a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal from the Marine Camp Commander during that time. She qualified as Fleet Marine Force Officer and received the FMF pin during that tour, and also pursued her MBA and graduated with honors in December 2007.
In September 2008, she assumed the Department Head position at Margarita Branch Dental Clinic. In January 2009, she deployed with the USS NASHVILLE (LPD 13) as Dental Department Head in support of Maritime Security Mission to Africa and qualified as a Surface Warfare Medical Department Officer. In August 2010, she transferred to the Naval Medical Center San Diego as the Division Officer for General Dentistry, Oral Diagnosis, and Fleet Liaison Officer. She oversaw the daily operations and dental readiness of the Sailors and Marines assigned to the Clinic as well as 33 small ships ensuring Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet is mission capable for Operational Deployment. In January 2011, she assumed the Department Head position at Naval Base San Diego and led the Navy’s largest dental facility as well as Southwest Regional Maintenance Center, leading 226 active duty and civilian personnel, providing support for 15,000 Sailors, Marines, and foreign military.
In January 2013, she was appointed Department Head, Naval Branch Health Clinic, Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and its annex Branch Medical clinic Rancho Bernardo under Naval Medical Center San Diego. In this capacity, she implemented the Medical Home Port and directed primary care operations for eligible beneficiaries. As Medical Liaison to the Force Surgeons for Commander Marine Corps Air Station and NAVBRIGCOM, she incorporated the Operating Forces into the Medical Home, and helped develop the Marine Corps Medical Home Program with 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing. In May 2014, CAPT Razmi assumed the position of Director for Dental Services and Senior Dental Executive for Branch Clinics Naval Medical Center San Diego. She coordinated, implemented, and executed policies and procedures relative to departments assigned to the Dental Service Directorate and Branch Dental Clinics, the Area Dental Lab and two dental residency programs. In this position, she led 425 personnel in 9 Clinics and managed an $11M budget.
In June 2018, she was slated to be the Executive Officer at 1st Den Bn/NDC Camp Pendleton and led over 400 active duty and civilian staff to noteworthy mission accomplishment at 13 geographically dispersed Clinics aboard four widely dispersed USMC bases across California and Arizona in support of 55,000 service members.
CAPT Razmi transferred to Navy Medicine Forces Pacific in August 2020 as the region’s High Reliability Officer for NMRTCs, subordinate NMRTUs, R&D commands & assigned operational platforms within M5. She was slated to be the Commanding Officer at 1st Dental Battalion/Naval Dental Center in Nov 2020.
Captain Razmi holds a Master of Business Administration degree with an additional concentration in Strategic Leadership. She has completed a one year Healthcare Leadership Academy (HLA) at the University of California San Diego. She is a member of the American Dental Association and Academy of General Dentistry. CAPT Razmi’s personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2 Gold stars), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (2 Gold stars), Navy and Marine Corps achievement Medal (2 Gold Stars), and the Navy Meritorious Unit Commendation with a bronze star. She is a qualified Surface Warfare Medical Officer and Fleet Marine Force Qualified Officer.
