9/27/2012 -- MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON, Calif. – The 1st Marine Logistics Group Beast football team improved its record to 7-0 with a 42-0 victory over the Weapons and Field Training Battalion Raiders here, Sept. 24.
The Beast's defense held its opponent to zero points for the sixth time this season.
Quarterback Matthew Petree scored a touchdown on a quarterback draw from 8-yards out.
During the second quarter, the Beast found the end zone three times. Petree completed a 23-yard touchdown pass to wide receiver Chris Warder for a 14-0 score.
After a 24-yard run by running back Thaddaeus Haney, running back Marcus Mays punched it in from 2-yards to make it 21-0.
The Beast went up 28-0 before halftime with an inception returned for a touchdown by safety Jamarcus Thomas.
In the third quarter, Haney scored a touchdown from 11-yards out for a 35-0 lead.
Defensive back Jadione Graham intercepted the football and returned it for the final touchdown of the night.
The Beast plays its next game against the 11th Marine Regiment Cannon Cockers Oct. 15, at the 11-Area football field at 5 p.m.
