Headquarters Regiment Inbound Platoon
The Inbound Platoon will contact new Marines before they arrive, pick them up from the airport, assign sponsors and shepherd them through the new join process in order to ensure a smooth and successful transition into Headquarters Regiment and provide their respective Battalion or company a solid foundation to further develop their Marines before they check-In with IPAC.

From orders assignment until turnover to receiving units, Inbound Platoon shepherds incoming Marines through a check-In process through a personalized training and mentoring process focused on unit camaraderie and personnel sustainment in order to foster a positive and valuable foundation of knowledge and esprit de corps from which to build.

We will ensure joining Marines are properly received, protected, and indoctrinated according to Combat Logistics Regiment 17 expectations.

Inbound personnel who have received PCS or PCA Orders from outside Headquarters Regiment must complete the course if they are:

-Sgt or below (E1-E5)
-2ndLt or 1stLt (O1-O2)
-First-term Marine arriving from OCONUS

All inbound Marines outside of this criteria will be contacted, sent a Welcome Aboard Package, and invited to participate in training. Only the Monthly Welcome Aboard Brief is mandatory.
